LA Fitness at Garden City Park has its pool and spa closed after bacteria found
Two people’s sample testing was found positive for Legionella bacteria and the water at Garden City Park LA Fitness was also tested positive for the same.
The gym located at 2350 Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park had health inspectors on the premise on January 3rd.
The health department has asked the authorities to close the pool and spa of the gym.
The gym authorities also requested the persons who used the pool and facilities at the gym to take medical help.
The pool and the gym premises will be closed until the inspection of the health department is complete.
The investigation is ongoing.
