Woman robbed and assaulted in Hempstead
Police are investigating the robbery that happened on Monday in Hempstead.

The 42 year old victim was approached by the suspect from behind and grabbed the victim’s pocket book that contained cash and ID cards. The suspect then punched the victim’s face and fled the scene in unknown location.

The incident happened on Columbia Street on January 9 around 2:15pm.

The suspect is a black male in 40’s with a thin built body.
