Google has made another government technology gain, this time via a two-year deal with New York state.
The New York state Office of Information Technology Services, or ITS, says it has reached a “first-of-its-kind agreement” to provide statewide access to “advanced” technology through a partnership with Google Public Sector.
The deal promises to give state employees access to some of the latest data analytics tools while also “enabling the state to strengthen its disaster recovery capabilities, enhance service delivery and support New York’s ongoing digital transformation,” according to a statement.
